The judges select some of the finest singers and performers across the America by conducting auditions in seven cities in America. The final outstanding contestants compete to win the title of the American Idol.
The judges help in grooming the contestants by giving them remarks and reviews on their singing and polish them as the competition gets tougher. Finally, the best singer gets the title of the American idol. American Idol has received ten primetime Emmy nominations which are more than any reality show. The audition for American Idol is in seven cities; San Diego, ST. Louis, Portland, Galveston, Pittsburgh, Savannah and Aspen.
The auditions for this can be submitted online also on the website but you should try to give a live audition. The contestants should register themselves as early as possible on the site Heinz Field. The contestants will be issued a wrist band and a seat ticket which they should keep with them till the auditions are over. The contestants should be born between June 27, 1982 and June 26, 1996. This is the required age eligibility criteria of auditions for the idol. The contestants cannot be associated with the companies which are sponsoring idol.
Your audition would last approximately for 38 seconds. You should take voice lessons before you come for the auditions for American Idol.
