Elementary gives us a brand new, fresh take on Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary detective, Sherlock Holmes. So far, I've only observed two episodes, but from these I'll already tell it's going to be a present worth watching on the end.
Coming from a huge fan of Steven Moffat in addition to Mark Gatiss' Sherlock, and an avid reader of Conan Doyle's first stories, I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed the Regular rendition of Sherlock Holmes. Only time will tell a healthier way accurately it may follow the guides, but so far it appears like it's an entirely new do the legendary sleuth, which perhaps is in order, considering all that renditions of Sherlock Holmes which were cropping up nowadays.
The story, at least so far, is very well-written, and the dialogue is impressive, to say minimally. In fact, there are many lines which might be stunningly genius. What really fascinated me, however, was the nature development, especially Holmes'. At times this specific great man would seem almost human (at the least emotionally, not intellectually needless to say), and already we all see indications of a murky past, maybe even any tragic romance. The potential for this is limitless, and I look forward to seeing how they will flesh it out there.
